Principal's Excellence Scholarship - Global

The Principal's Excellence Scholarship - Global is an award of up to £7,000 per year, for up to a maximum of four years, for prospective new international undergraduate and postgraduate taught students at Abertay University. This scholarship is awarded at the discretion of the University in recognition of an applicant's outstanding achievements (academic and/or extra-curricular) and their potential contribution to student life and the University community. Successful recipients will have the award deducted from their tuition fees while studying in Dundee. The scholarship is designed to support outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate international students from Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and the Middle East starting their studies in the 2026/27 or 2027/28 academic years. Students who are admitted with Advanced Entry into Year 2 or above of an undergraduate programme and who meet the eligibility conditions will also be eligible for this award.

The Law Society of Scotland Education Foundation: Bursary Award

The Lawscot Foundation is committed to supporting talented young people who have the potential to benefit from, and contribute to, the legal profession. The aim is to ensure that, if you have drive and talent, money will not be a barrier to becoming a solicitor in Scotland. The Foundation gives priority to individuals from less-advantaged backgrounds, taking social and economic situation into consideration. The bursary covers each year of the LLB degree and postgraduate Diploma, with awards varying but approximately £2,750 per year, totalling up to £13,750 by completion of qualifications. This scholarship fund was established in 2018 from a generous legacy left to the Association of Child Protection Professionals (AoCPP) by Anne Wingate Paterson who died in 2016. Anne was a dedicated member of AoCPP and left provision in her will to support an annual award for the study and prevention of child abuse and neglect in Scotland.
