iCare SMSF Scholarship Program

The iCare SMSF Scholarship Program is designed to address the skill shortage in Australia's Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) industry by supporting and encouraging accounting and finance students to specialize in SMSF compliance work. Since there is no university in Australia offering degree-related courses for the Australian superannuation system and SMSF accounting and audit, iCare Super established this scholarship program to find and award prospective future SMSF specialists. The scholarship provides financial support of $3,000 to undergraduate and postgraduate students studying Accounting, Business, or Finance who demonstrate outstanding academic records and have a passion for the SMSF industry. iCare Super has been recruiting and training accounting talent since its establishment in 2012 and has become one of the major independent SMSF services providers in Australia. The award is open to both international and domestic students enrolled full-time in undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in Australia. Applicants must submit documentation including their resume with referee details, most recent academic transcripts, and an essay of at least 300 words explaining what roles SMSF play in the Australian Superannuation System. Selection is based on academic performance (GPA/grades), relevant professional working experience, and relevant awards or certificates.
