Performance Sport Academy Support Programme

The Performance Sport Academy at Buckinghamshire New University provides comprehensive support for student-athletes competing at regional, national, or international levels. Based on over ten years of experience supporting athletes from diverse sporting backgrounds including swimming, fencing, snow sports, and disability/para sport, this program helps athletes balance academic excellence with high-level athletic performance. The program is TASS accredited, offering support equivalent to the TASS scheme standards. Athletes receive a comprehensive package including enhanced academic flexibility, tailored strength and conditioning programs, sports therapy, fitness assessments, performance lifestyle support, nutritional analysis, and sport psychology services. In exchange, athletes serve as sporting ambassadors for the university and represent BNU in BUCS competitions.

BNU Financial Aid – Hardship Fund

The Financial Aid Hardship Fund provides discretionary financial assistance for students at Buckinghamshire New University to help them access and remain in higher education. It is particularly aimed for those students who need financial help to meet specific course and living costs that cannot be met from other sources of support.
