Ridderstads Stiftelse provides grants to promote research in three main areas related to historical graphic research. The foundation also funds Swedish, Nordic, or general European advertising history and related communication research, including information or propaganda spread through traditional marketing methods. Additionally, it supports research into the history of graphic technology and book craftsmanship, examining the development of materials, machines, and methods in printing, bookbinding, and illustrations. This includes studies of companies and individuals in the industry. The foundation primarily finances research where press and newspapers in a broad sense are central study objects.
