Jan Inge-Hagströms minnesfond för svensk stadsbyggnadskonst

Jan Inghe-Hagströms minnesfond aims to support applied and theoretical education in the development of Swedish urban design art, in memory of Jan Inghe. The fund offers two stipends of 150,000 SEK each, aimed primarily at younger working architects/planners who wish to enhance their professional skills through studies, travel, or other means, or who wish to write about Jan Inghe's unique achievements and how they can inspire future urban development processes. Recipients must present their work in some form such as a lecture, newspaper article, or essay. The purpose of the stipend is to illuminate how planning addresses contemporary challenges, including climate challenges and unequal living conditions, and how a holistic approach incorporating spatial qualities, sensibility and beauty contribute to wellbeing. Another aspect can be describing design processes in different phases. Jan Inghe-Hagström was an architect who worked his entire career at Stockholm's city planning office. Hammarby Sjöstad is his most important contribution to urban development and has received more international attention than any other Swedish urban planning project.
