Rupertsland Institute is a Métis organization in Alberta, Canada dedicated to enhancing the self-sufficiency and well-being of Métis people through quality education, training, and research. The Institute provides post-secondary education funding, apprenticeship and certificate course support, employment training services, and conducts research on labour market conditions and contemporary issues important to the Métis community. As an affiliate of the Métis Nation of Alberta, RLI's vision is a skilled, knowledgeable, and self-reliant Métis Nation.

Rupertsland Institute Post-Secondary Education Funding

Rupertsland Institute (RLI) provides post-secondary financial aid to Métis students to reduce the overall cost of education and the financial burden it can have. The program seeks to increase the number of Métis students who successfully complete post-secondary studies and to bring parity between Métis post-secondary participation to that of other Albertans. The Post-Secondary Education program is made possible by a funding agreement between the Government of Canada and the Métis Nation of Alberta (MNA). Funding is available to eligible applicants on a first-come, first-serve basis, with full-time students prioritized before part-time students. Students must work with a Rupertsland Institute Student Advisor and commit to a Student Action Plan.
