The Congress of Aboriginal Peoples (CAP) is a national Indigenous representative organization in Canada that has served as the national voice for off-reserve Indigenous Peoples since 1971. CAP represents the interests of Métis, status and Non-status Indians, and Southern Inuit Indigenous People living off-reserve in Canada, and is one of five National Indigenous Representative Organizations recognized by the Government of Canada. The organization focuses on advocacy, skills and employment training, reconciliation initiatives, and addressing issues affecting Indigenous communities including missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people (MMIWG2S+).
