Foresters Competitive Scholarship

The Foresters Competitive Scholarship program awards up to 475 tuition scholarships worth $2,500 each to students across the United States and Canada. The program is designed to support students who are focused on academics and committed to supporting their communities. Foresters believes that students with strong academic performance and community service records deserve assistance with their education. This scholarship program was recognized by USA TODAY and its research partner Plant-A Insights Group as one of America's Best Loyalty & Rewards Programs in 2025. The program offers opportunities for both new applicants and returning candidates. New applicants are students in their final year of secondary school or completing their post-secondary education, while returning candidates are those who have previously earned or applied for the scholarship. Both categories require demonstrated community service, strong academic performance, and enrollment in full-time undergraduate programs at recognized institutions in the United States or Canada. The scholarship is administered by International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc. (ISTS) and is a member benefit of Foresters Financial. Applicants, their parent, legal guardian, grandparent, or spouse must be current Foresters members. The program has one annual application window from December to April, with award notifications in mid-June and scholarship funds issued by the end of August. Applicants must be 24 years of age or under at all times during the 2026 calendar year. New applicants need a minimum GPA of 3.2 or 80% average with 50 hours of community service over two years, while returning candidates need a minimum GPA of 3.0 or 75% average with 15 hours of community service within one year prior to the application deadline.
