About

Canada's Outstanding Young Farmers (COYF) is a national program designed to recognize young farmers who exemplify excellence in their profession. The program honors farm operators between the ages of 18 and 39 who derive a minimum of two-thirds of their income from their farm operations. Each year, individuals, couples, or managing partners/shareholders of farm groups are selected from seven regional recognition events across Canada to represent their respective regions at the National Recognition Event. The organization also provides scholarships to students pursuing post-secondary education in agriculture and presents the W.R. Motherwell Award annually to individuals demonstrating excellence in leadership and dedication to Canadian agriculture.
