About

The Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund, established in 1961, provides financial support for students who are active and emerging organizers in progressive movements for liberation, self-determination and social and economic justice in their communities. The Fund awards need-based scholarships to students enrolled at colleges, universities, or trade/technical programs who are working for peace and justice, with grantees involved in work opposing capitalism, racism, hetero patriarchy, environmental exploitation, and other forms of systemic harm and oppression. Since its founding, the organization has awarded over $4.9 million in scholarship funds to more than 1,156 grantees.
