Founded in 1925, the Kosciuszko Foundation promotes closer ties between Poland and the United States through educational and cultural exchanges. It awards up to $2 million annually in scholarships, grants, and fellowships to students, scholars, and artists, and promotes Polish culture in America. The Foundation is dedicated to increasing American understanding of Polish culture and history, operating from locations in New York, Washington DC, and Warsaw with 11 local chapters across the United States.
