Tilskudd til Bedriftsintern opplæring (BIO-midler)

The BIO grant is a subsidy program aimed at preventing workforce displacement by strengthening the competencies of employees in companies facing serious restructuring challenges. The program targets companies that, due to restructuring problems, must undertake significant changes in production or establish themselves in new markets. This may involve changes in production methods, switching production equipment, or transitioning to new products or services. Companies conducting training for their own employees can receive grants. The company-internal training (BIO) is intended to enhance employee competencies so that the company can manage necessary restructuring - either through changes in the company's production or by establishing new markets. For 2026, Agder fylkeskommune has limited funds allocated to BIO initiatives. The grant funds are therefore directed toward companies that have or must lay off employees in the immediate future, preferably larger companies or cornerstone businesses. Emphasis will be placed on good documentation and a thorough process and dialogue with the relevant company before it can potentially qualify for BIO support.
