The Joe Humphries Memorial Trust (JHMT) is a UK registered charity dedicated to breaking the silence on Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS), creating a new generation of young lifesavers, and inspiring young people to fulfil their potential. The Trust was established following the tragic loss of Joe Humphries, who died while jogging in October 2012. Inspire Awards

The Inspire Awards provide financial assistance to young people aged 13 to 21 years old who are permanently resident in Leicester or Leicestershire. The awards support young people in three main categories: those preparing or training for sporting competitions or needing help with equipment purchases (supporting athletes, swimmers, tennis players, cyclists and others); those pursuing projects to benefit their local community; and artists or musicians looking to develop their talent, with grants available for travelling expenses and equipment purchases. The Trust aims to acknowledge all applications within 5 working days and determine all applications within 28 days. Applications are submitted through an online form or downloadable application form.
