The Michael Tippett Musical Foundation is a charitable trust established by British composer Michael Tippett (1905-1998) to encourage the music of the future. The principal aims of the Foundation are to honour Tippett's desire to fund young musicians and composers and to support the performance and promotion of his own music. Named after the composer of visionary twentieth-century works including the oratorio A Child of Our Time, five operas and four symphonies, the Foundation continues his legacy by supporting emerging musical talent and promoting classical music.
