Egyptian Public Schools Scholarships - Fall 2026

The American University in Cairo, along with other individuals and corporations, has launched the Public-School Scholarship Fund (PSSF) to expand opportunities to Egyptian students who graduated from public schools with outstanding academic records and who demonstrate financial need. The scholarship covers tuition and fees, housing in a double room at the AUC dorms for eligible students residing outside Cairo and Giza, and AUC transportation for eligible students not residing at the AUC dorms. Applicants must be Egyptian students graduating from public, experimental, STEM, and Nile schools in the academic year 2025-2026, have an outstanding secondary school academic record, demonstrate financial need, and meet AUC's admission requirements. Students must pass English language proficiency tests (IELTS with minimum band score of 5.5 and writing score of 5.5, or TOEFL with minimum total score of 62 and writing score of 17, or DUOLINGO with minimum score of 115-120) completed no more than two years before the first day of the term for which they are applying.

These highly competitive scholarships are based on excellence and financial need, ensuring that AUC is accessible to the most outstanding students, regardless of their financial ability. Recipients must maintain specific requirements including following a graduation plan, registering for minimum credits each semester, and maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA.
