About
YoungArts, formally known as the National Foundation for the Advancement of Artists, was founded in 1981 to identify exceptional young artists, amplify their potential, and invest in their lifelong creative freedom. The organization provides awards, programs, and ongoing support to young artists ages 15-18 across ten artistic disciplines including classical music, dance, design, film, jazz, photography, theater, visual arts, voice, and writing. Through its competition, National YoungArts Week, creative opportunities, professional development programs, grants and awards, and cultural partnerships, YoungArts offers a lifetime of encouragement and support to emerging artists.
