Funding Opportunities

Logistics and Supply Chain Management Masters Scholarship

This scholarship, funded by Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE, supports a 90 or 120-point Master of Business (MBus) thesis at the University of Waikato. It offers the chance to undertake a meaningful research project and join the vibrant Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE research community working on earthquake resilience. The research will examine the performance of the Wellington Region's emergency water supply plan in the event of a major earthquake and recommend practical improvements. A major earthquake in the Wellington Region could isolate communities and leave some 400,000 residents dependent on emergency water supplies, with uncertainty about how well the current plan would work in practice. The scholarship provides funding for one year of research starting July 1, 2026, based in Hamilton with travel to Wellington for research activities and attendance at the Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE annual meeting.
