Unite Foundation Scholarship Scheme 2026/27

The Unite Foundation Scholarship provides care leaver, care experienced, and estranged students with free ensuite student accommodation in purpose-built halls of residence for up to 3 years of their undergraduate university life. The scholarship covers all rent and bills, 365 days per year, with no deposit or guarantor required. Recipients receive a single occupancy ensuite bedroom in a shared student flat with communal kitchen, including all utilities, wifi, maintenance support, and access to building facilities such as laundry and study spaces. The scholarship is designed to support students throughout their first undergraduate degree at one of 22 partner universities across the UK. In 2026/27, there are 70 scholarships available. The program also offers additional benefits including opportunities from donors, invitations to the This Is Us student-led community, and potential housing support during work placements in different cities. Students can choose annually whether to take up the accommodation offer for up to three years of eligible study, excluding foundation years, masters-level study, or resit years.
