About
The Spalding Memorial Educational Trust was founded by Mr and Mrs H N Spalding in the 1920s to promote a better understanding between the great cultures of the world by encouraging the study of the religious principles on which they are based. The Trust awards grants for the study of recognised religious traditions, supporting ethical, philosophical and religious education through inter-religious study to promote mutual understanding and respect. Grants of generally no more than £3,500 support graduate students studying comparative religion, travel to conferences, study of religions in countries where they are practised, and library book acquisitions.
