The Puerto Rican Bar Association Scholarship Fund, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in 1978 by the Puerto Rican Bar Association (established 1957) to promote diversity within the legal profession by providing financial scholarships to deserving law students. The Fund awards scholarships to students from ABA-accredited law schools who demonstrate contributions or commitment to the Puerto Rican or LatinX community, based on academic excellence, community involvement, commitment to diversity and inclusion, and financial need. Through its Annual Scholarship Fund Gala Banquet and corporate sponsors, the organization has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to law students who go on to work in diverse legal settings including state and federal courts, government agencies, law firms, corporations, and non-profit organizations.
