NOPE of Hillsborough is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world free of overdose deaths. NOPE of Hillsborough Scholarship

The NOPE of Hillsborough Scholarships are funded in conjunction with the Michael Valdes Foundation, Hillsborough County Anti-Drug Alliance in memory of Dan Grant, The Cooper Family in memory of Ryan Stevenson Cooper, Lynne Knowles in memory of Jamie Godette-Church, Laura Sehres in memory of Scott Sehres, and the Butler Family in memory of Mitchell Menes. These scholarships are awarded to Hillsborough County high school seniors who have experienced a NOPE (Narcotics Overdose Prevention and Education) Student Presentation within the last 4 years. The scholarship funds are to be used for college, university, or technical trade school and should be applied to extended higher learning expenses. In 2024-25, NOPE of Hillsborough awarded 12 scholarships to graduating seniors from various high schools throughout Hillsborough County. Applicants must have been accepted into or be waiting for entrance into a college, university, or technical/trade institute.
