Congregational & General Charitable Trust Building Projects Grant

The Congregational & General Charitable Trust awards grants for building projects to churches of the Protestant tradition, including the United Reformed and Congregational denominations. Grants range from £1,000 to £25,000 and are directly linked to the cost of the project involved, with a maximum of 25% of total project costs (to the nearest £100). The Trust supports capital projects involving building work such as repairs, improvements, or extensions. Applications are also considered from church community projects for funding towards capital costs. The Trust distributes up to £290,000 towards approved projects each quarter, with applications reviewed quarterly in March, June, September, and December. Professional advice costs such as architects, quantity surveyors, and site management can be included in total project costs when applying for a grant.
