About this opportunity

The Korea Foundation (KF) supports international graduate students pursuing Korea-related research at universities in North America as part of its program to foster Korean studies experts. This scholarship program provides financial support to master's and doctoral students conducting research on Korea-related topics in fields including humanities/social sciences, culture/arts, media/communication, modern Korea, and science and technology. The scholarship aims to promote the development of Korea specialists abroad and supports full-time students enrolled at universities in North America. Recipients must be enrolled full-time during the scholarship period and must reside in their university's location while dedicating themselves to their studies and research. The program allows for renewal applications, with master's students eligible for up to 2 years and doctoral students for up to 3 years, though renewal is subject to competitive review and is not automatic.
