About this opportunity
The Aurora Indigenous International UK Study Tour and Symposium is a unique opportunity for Indigenous students and professionals considering postgraduate study overseas. The program includes multi-week visits to prestigious institutions in Oxford, Cambridge and London, running from October 19 to November 8, 2026. Participants will also attend a symposium in Sydney from June 15-19, 2026. The program is specifically designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who hold or are completing degrees with distinction-level academic achievement and have a strong interest in pursuing postgraduate study overseas. Over thirteen years, the Aurora Study Tour has provided opportunities for over 200 talented Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to gain insights into the experience of undertaking postgraduate study at premier overseas institutions, with 60% of participants going on to apply to study at the universities visited and 93% being accepted. Participants are expected to act as ambassadors of the program while overseas and demonstrate a commitment to giving back to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
