About This Opportunity

The Bilya Boorn Scholarship supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander law students by providing recipients with financial assistance, mentoring and professional development opportunities in commercial law. The scholarship offers an annual value of $10,000 paid as a cash stipend of $5,000 per semester for up to a maximum of 2 years based on a full-time study load. Recipients also receive student networking and mentoring opportunities through the Aboriginal/Indigenous students unit at their university, as well as ad-hoc professional networking and mentoring opportunities provided from time to time through participating law firms. The amount can be used at the recipient's discretion to contribute towards educational related expenses. This scholarship is offered and administered by Clifford Chance in partnership with participating law firms and Western Australian universities.
