About this opportunity
The Davidson Fellows Scholarship Outside the Box category recognizes outstanding students who have completed university graduate level work or comparable projects in fields not covered by other Davidson Fellows categories. This scholarship honors significant accomplishments that demonstrate exceptional creativity, innovative solutions, important advancements, or interdisciplinary discoveries with the potential to effect positive change. Projects must be completed with the supervision of an expert or experts and must demonstrate breadth and depth of knowledge at university graduate level or beyond. Applications are evaluated based on criteria including exceptional creativity, new ideas with high impact, innovative solutions with regional or national implications, important advancements that can be replicated, and interdisciplinary discoveries. The program requires substantial portfolio submissions including either a formal research report or portfolio of work, along with essays and a video presentation describing the significance and benefit to society of the applicant's work.
