About this opportunity
This clinical PhD scholarship aims to build research capacity within the allied health workforce by supporting clinicians to undertake doctoral studies while maintaining clinical engagement. By providing salary support, the scholarship enables recipients to dedicate time to high-quality research that addresses real-world healthcare challenges, fosters evidence-based practice, and contributes to improved patient outcomes. The initiative supports the development of clinician-researchers who can bridge the gap between research and practice, strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, and lead innovation in healthcare delivery across diverse settings. The scholarship is generously funded by the Curtin School of Allied Health, and is associated with the CONNECT-CP Project led by Prof Jane Valentine, which focuses on improving connection, access and translation of evidence in cerebral palsy. The successful candidate must maintain 0.3FTE clinical duties while dedicating 0.5FTE to research time.
