About this opportunity

Program Grants are annual grants directed to support specific programs that meet Foundations of East Chicago (FEC) priorities. Programs must have a definitive plan with measurable outcomes and must have an operational plan that demonstrates potential for success. Grant recipients are selected based on applications that support at least one of FEC's focus areas: education/job training, health & safety, and community enrichment. All awarded funds must be used between February 1, 2026 and November 30, 2026, with all expenditures supported by financial documentation. FEC considers equipment, software, and additional program expenses only if these items pertain to the implementation of the program with detailed explanations required. The grant cycle is highly competitive, requiring complete applications with all required documentation submitted by the deadline.
