About This Opportunity

The Ashurst Indigenous Law Scholarship is dedicated to encouraging and supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students studying Law at Curtin University. The Scholarship provides financial assistance, helps ease barriers to education, and nurtures the next generation of legal professionals. It is designed to create lasting, positive impact for students, their families, and their communities. The scholarship provides a total value of $10,000 paid as two equal cash stipends of $5,000, along with a guaranteed paid internship opportunity with Ashurst. The amount can be used at the recipient's discretion to contribute towards education related expenses. Eligible applicants must be Australian citizens of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, enrolled in the 2nd year or above of a Bachelor of Laws degree or any double degree containing this degree, maintaining full-time enrollment of at least 75 credits per study period, and holding a course weighted average of at least 50. Recipients must remain enrolled in their eligible course, maintain full-time study load, and uphold their academic performance throughout the scholarship period.
