About this opportunity
The Doreen Fyfe Nursing Scholarship will be offered to a first-year nursing student from a rural background. The daughters of Mrs Doreen Fyfe established this scholarship in honour of their mother, who dreamt of becoming a nurse, but whose circumstances including WWII, a rural background and limited educational opportunities prevented her from pursuing her dream. This need-based scholarship provides a one-off cash payment of $3,500 to support educational-related expenses for domestic students enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Science (Advanced Nursing) at Curtin University. The scholarship specifically targets students from rural or regional areas who demonstrate financial hardship and need. Recipients must be enrolled in their first year of the program in Semester 1, 2026, with a full-time study load of at least 75 credits.
