About this opportunity

Curtin University is supporting a fellowship position to attend the 2026 Y20 Summit through Global Voices. The Y20 is a leadership summit that convenes young professionals from G20 countries to develop policy solutions to current global challenges. The fellowship program includes attendance at both a domestic and international delegation, as well as private meetings with subject matter and policy experts, esteemed academics, Commonwealth Government Departmental Secretaries, Members of the Australian Parliament, and leaders of civil-society and private organizations. The fellowship includes three main components: support to publish a policy proposal, a 3-day Canberra pre-departure briefing and training, and travel to the USA to attend the Y20 Summit in Washington, D.C. (August 10-14, 2026). The fellowship allows participants to develop research, analysis and policy-writing skills through developing a policy paper related to the delegation agenda. Global Voices is a not-for-profit organization committed to nurturing the next generation of Australian leaders by providing practical experience in foreign policy and international relations. Since 2011, over two-hundred young people have been supported to attend over fifty international summits representing Australia. The fellowship is ideal for students with an interest in public policy, global trends, data and analysis, human rights and international development.
