About this opportunity
The Michael Spratt Scholarship was established by Neometals to honour the memory of Michael Spratt, a colleague and friend who sadly passed away. The purpose of the Scholarship is to support final year students undertaking an eligible degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy or Mineral Processing. Neometals is commercialising its portfolio of sustainable process technologies to recycle and recover critical materials from high-value waste streams. The Company collaborates with partners and customers to facilitate sustainable supply chains of critical materials and reduce the environmental burden of traditional mining in the global transition to a circular economy. The scholarship provides a total value of $7,500 AUD paid as a cash stipend of $3,750 per semester for up to a maximum of one year based on full-time enrolment. The amount can be used at the recipient's discretion to contribute towards education related expenses. This merit-based scholarship is available to domestic students enrolled full-time in the final year of eligible degrees at Curtin University, with preference given to students studying at the Kalgoorlie campus.
