About This Opportunity

The Walker, Newman & Associates Scholarship was established to support and encourage students in the Centre for Aboriginal Studies (CAS) Pre-Science and Engineering Enabling Course. It is the hope that by supporting students while in the bridging course, it will enable more First Nations students to pursue their undergraduate degree in science and engineering courses at Curtin. The scholarship provides financial support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled full-time in the Indigenous Pre-Science and Engineering Enabling Course at Curtin University. Recipients receive a cash stipend paid throughout the year, with an additional bonus payment provided upon successful completion of the enabling course and subsequent enrolment into a Science and Engineering undergraduate course. The amount can be used at the recipient's discretion to contribute towards education-related expenses.
