2026 Student Company Awards

JA British Columbia offers two student company awards for the 2025-26 school year. The CIBC Student Company of the Year Award ($3,000) recognizes a JA Student Company that demonstrates excellence in creativity and innovation, financial performance, business viability, and overall planning and operations. The winning team may be nominated to advance to the JA Canada Company of the Year Championship and potentially represent JA Canada at the JA Americas Company of the Year Competition. The Celebrate Entrepreneurship Provincial Innovation Award ($3,000) recognizes the highest level of innovation in business idea or execution, including new or improved products/services, novel distribution methods, cutting-edge marketing tools, or emerging business models. This provincial award does not advance to national competition. Both awards are open to all JA British Columbia Student Companies participating in the JA Company Program. Shortlisted teams will present to a panel of local business leaders in May, with winners announced at the Youth Leadership Conference Banquet on May 23.
