2026 - Tertiary Access Payment (TAP Program)

The Tertiary Access Payment (TAP) Program has been developed by the Australian Government to assist school leavers from regional and remote areas who relocate from their home to undertake full-time, higher level tertiary education (Certificate IV or above) in the year following Year 12 or equivalent. This payment is for students up to 22 years of age who begin their tertiary studies after taking a break following year 12. The payment supports eligible students moving away from home to study at a tertiary education provider that is at least 90 minutes away from their family home location by public transport. The scholarship is specifically designed to help students from inner regional, outer regional, or remote areas access higher education opportunities that require relocation.
