About this opportunity

The European Partnership AGROECOLOGY's third call aims to finance research and innovation projects that contribute to one of two key themes for agroecological transition. Theme 1 focuses on increasing genetic diversity and variation in plants and livestock for agroecological transformation, with the goal of establishing a broader selection of species, varieties and breeds that will support the development of agroecological farming systems. Theme 2 addresses the social challenges of the agroecological transition, with particular emphasis on farmers' motivation, skills and knowledge, as well as the role of other actors in the food system in promoting producer engagement. This call focuses on two important foundations for the agroecological transition: the genetic and social dimensions. The genetic aspect deals with diversity in crops and livestock, while the social aspect examines farmer empowerment and participation in the agroecological transformation process.
