5th Call for Main Projects

The Interreg Northern Periphery and Arctic (NPA) Programme's 5th Call for Main Projects supports transnational cooperation between remote and sparsely populated communities in the northernmost part of Europe. The call was open from June 11 to September 30, 2024, and approved 16 projects out of 23 eligible applications. The programme allocated €14.8 million in funding to 92 partners from all seven programme partner countries. Main projects are expected to have an average budget of 1.5 million EUR and run for 3 years. The call covers all three programme priorities: Priority 1 (Innovation Capacity), Priority 2 (Climate Change and Resource Sufficiency), and Priority 3 (Cooperation Opportunities). Projects focus on helping small companies become greener and more innovative, developing digital solutions, improving energy efficiency, preparing communities for climate change, and fostering collaboration across communities. The programme supports sustainable solutions to improve the quality of life for people living in the NPA region through research, innovation, environmental sustainability, and capacity building initiatives.
