About this opportunity

This scholarship was established through generous donations from Alumni and friends during the University's 600th Anniversary Celebrations. The scholarship forms part of the Wardlaw Scholarship scheme, established in 2004 to provide financial assistance to academically gifted students who would otherwise struggle with the cost of studying at the University of St Andrews. The award provides £4,400 per year paid as maintenance, which can be used towards University accommodation fees. Maintenance is paid in ten monthly instalments directly to your bank account from September to May, with a double payment in February. Selection is based on financial need and donor-specific criteria. The scholarship is available to undergraduate students from Scotland and the rest of the UK studying in a wide range of disciplines including sciences, humanities, social sciences, and business. This award is paid annually for the duration of the student's undergraduate programme.
