AACN Continuing Professional Development Scholarships

AACN's scholarship program is designed to promote lifelong learning, personal reflection and professional growth. The Continuing Professional Development Scholarships help nurses continue their professional and personal growth by supporting educational activities linked to identified knowledge gaps. This opportunity is available exclusively to AACN members and requires applicants to develop a personalized learning plan that connects a knowledge gap to their requested activity. Applicants should apply three to four months in advance to allow sufficient processing time. Unlike traditional research grants, this scholarship program focuses on continued professional development and career enhancement for acute and critical care nurses. The program supports various learning opportunities including conferences, specialized training, and advocacy experiences. Recipients have used scholarships to attend events such as the Nurse in Washington Internship for nursing advocacy.
