About This Opportunity

The Biman family has established this graduate scholarship to honour the memory of their son and brother Aapoolcoyuz Biman BASc. 1991, a graduate of Electrical and Computer Engineering with an Option in Management Sciences. One scholarship valued at $5,000 will be awarded in the Faculty of Engineering to graduate students in the Departments of Electrical & Computer Engineering or Management Sciences in conjunction with matching government programs such as the Ontario Graduate Scholarships (OGS) or the Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarships in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST). It could also be used as a top-up for the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council CGS or PGS Scholarships. If this is not feasible, the scholarships will be valued and awarded at $5,000 each. The scholarship honours Aapool's love for the struggle and thrill of exploration and discovery, his gift for teaching, and his dedication to motivating and encouraging others to exceed themselves and aim for excellence. Selection will be made by the Associate Dean, Graduate Studies, Faculty of Engineering and International Agreements in the Faculty of Engineering.
