About this opportunity
The Aaren O'Connor Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Aaren O'Connor, an alumna of Temple University Japan who tragically lost her life to a stray bullet in Chicago, Illinois. Her friends and family created this fund to honor her memory and support students pursuing study abroad opportunities. The scholarship provides $1,000 annually to students participating in any Temple University study abroad program, with preference given to students who are residents of Chicago. Students who apply for a Temple University Education Abroad program scholarship will automatically be considered for this award, including scholarships for Exchange Programs, Japan Semester, Rome Semester, Spain Semester, and Summer programs. The scholarship is open to both Temple and non-Temple students who meet the eligibility requirements for Temple Education Abroad scholarships.
