About This Opportunity

AbbVie Bioresearch Center, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist current undergraduate sophomores living in or attending accredited 2-year community colleges in select Massachusetts counties (Middlesex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Worcester) who are pursuing a STEM-related education and career. The scholarship is designed specifically for first-generation college students who plan to transfer to an accredited 4-year college or university in the U.S. Recipients are selected based on academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, educational and career goals, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation. Financial need is a consideration and must be demonstrated. Up to eight awards ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 will be granted for undergraduate study at an accredited 4-year institution in the United States. Recipients will be invited to attend an on-site tour at one of the AbbVie facilities, where they will have lunch and learn about career opportunities at AbbVie. Awards are one-time only and past recipients may not reapply.
