Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) Scholarship

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship was established through contributions from the university, industry donors, community organisations and the annual Reconciliation Scholarship Dinner Dance. This scholarship supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in undergraduate degree programs at the University of Newcastle. The scholarship provides financial assistance of approximately $40,000 total over 4 years to help students complete their full-time undergraduate studies. Selection is based on assessment of the application and supporting documents against the eligibility criteria, with interviews potentially conducted if required.
