About this opportunity
The Abraham Bohn Scholarship was established to provide renewable scholarship support to children of veterans with demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid. Priority will be given to undergraduate students who are children of veterans receiving benefits through the U.S. Department of Veterans' Affairs program, Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance (Chapter 35) or the Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship. Preference will be given to students who are also in Commonwealth Honors College. Should the fund provide sufficient funding to meet the demonstrated financial need of undergraduates receiving Chapter 35 benefits, the pool of potential recipients will be opened to include other undergraduate children of veterans with demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid, including those receiving transferred benefits through the U.S. Department of Veterans' Affairs Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33).
