About this opportunity
The Academics at Risk Scholarship is offered by Goldsmiths, University of London in collaboration with the Council for At-Risk Academics (CARA). This scholarship provides comprehensive financial support for early career academics who have been displaced or are at risk. The scholarship covers both tuition fees and living expenses for the duration of doctoral study.
The scholarship provides a stipend/living allowance of £15,000 per year for each year of study, along with a full tuition fee waiver, for a maximum of four years of full-time study. Eligible applicants must be early career academics who have held an academic post such as a lecturer or researcher in a higher education institution or equivalent and have received an offer of a place on a full-time PhD programme at Goldsmiths.
Applicants must be referred through CARA and cannot hold this scholarship in conjunction with any other Goldsmiths financial award. The academic supervisor is required to provide an annual update confirming satisfactory academic progress. This scholarship represents a significant commitment to supporting academics at risk and enabling them to continue their research and academic careers in a safe environment.
