About this opportunity
The Accessible Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Bursary provides financial support to Red Deer Polytechnic students participating in practicum placements during the fall semester (September to December). This bursary is specifically designed to support students from under-represented communities who are enrolled in health, education, and childcare programs. The award recognizes the financial challenges students face during unpaid or low-paid practicum experiences and aims to increase accessibility to work-integrated learning opportunities. Students in practicum placements located 60 kilometers or more (round trip) from their residence may also apply for a travel subsidy. The bursary amount ranges from $500 to $1,500 depending on individual circumstances and travel requirements.
