About this opportunity
The Adams Trust Oil and Gas Prize is awarded annually to the student who achieves the highest mark in LAW 543 (Basic Oil and Gas Law) at the University of Alberta in the Faculty of Law. This merit-based prize recognizes academic excellence in oil and gas law coursework.
In the event that there is no eligible candidate from LAW 543, the prize will be given to the student with the highest mark in LAW 552 (Natural Resources Law). If there are no eligible candidates in either course, the prize will be awarded to the student selected to receive the Horace Harvey Medal in Law for the current academic year.
Students are automatically considered for this award based on their completed General Application and their academic performance in the qualifying courses. The prize is funded by endowed funds from an anonymous donor and is administered by the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta.
