Adelgaard Fonden

Adelgaardfonden provides support for charitable and public benefit purposes, including support for homeless persons with documented physical and psychological disabilities. The foundation also supports individuals struggling with severe substance abuse issues. For substance abusers, support is primarily provided in the phases following documented completion of treatment programs. Donations from Adelgaardfonden are taxable and all donations are reported to the tax authorities. As a general rule, you must pay tax on grants, but distributions from associations and foundations approved by the Danish Tax Agency to distribute funds for social or disease prevention purposes are tax-free up to 17,100 DKK in 2025. The foundation accepts applications during three specific periods per year, with separate application processes for individuals (homeless, substance abusers, and/or physically or mentally disabled persons) and organizations with charitable and/or public benefit purposes (associations and organizations only).
