Adoor Gopalakrishnan Film Archive & Research Scholarship

The Adoor Gopalakrishnan Film Archive & Research Scholarship is awarded to select students enrolled in the Peck School of the Arts (PSOA) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This scholarship supports undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate artistic merit working in the spirit of renowned filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan. The scholarship specifically focuses on students creating work that addresses important themes such as Compromised/Disappearing Landscapes, Underrepresented Voices, and Social Justice. Recipients must be majoring in Film, Video, Animation & New Genres (FVANG) and maintain full-time enrollment with at least 6 credits in their major. The scholarship is associated with the Adoor Gopalakrishnan Film Archive & Research Center at the Department of Film, Video, Animation & New Genres at UWM. Applicants are required to submit a work sample demonstrating their artistic vision aligned with Gopalakrishnan's filmmaking spirit, along with a project description.
