About this opportunity
The Advanced Learner Loans Bursary Fund provides financial support to students who are aged 19 or older on the first day of starting the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design course at University of the Arts London. The fund is provided by the UK Government via the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and operates under three categories: Hardship Bursary (for travel, equipment, books, course trips, and specialist clothing), Residential Bursary (up to £11,000 toward rental costs for students who need to live away from home), and Childcare Bursary for learners aged 20+ (up to 99% of childcare costs, maximum £175 per week per child in London or £165 per week per child outside London). Students must be considered Home fee status and be enrolled on a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design course starting in September 2025. The Hardship Bursary requires household income of £25,000 or below per annum, though exceptions can be made for exceptional financial hardship.
